Tomb
of Richard de Clare,
2nd Earl of Pembroke, Lord of Leinster (Leinster palace is where now
the Parliament resides) (1130 – 20 April 1176), known as Strongbow,
a Cambro-Norman lord notable whom played a leading role in the Norman
invasion of Ireland.
The tombstone is from the 14th century. |

century brass lectern. There are wholes in it for a chain to guard the
valuable bible (placed in English in every church after the
reformation). |
